About the event
Waterworks Ministries and the Susquehanna Conference Mental Health Task Force are sponsoring a leadership training on April 20, 2023 from 9 am to 4 pm at Mount Asbury Camp and Retreat Center.
Stress affects everyone, and leaders are no exception. The past two-plus years have been extremely difficult for clergy and lay leadership. Many people do not have the time, energy, or skills to work through the trauma and combined stress of the pandemic, economic shifts, tightening budgets, and difficult work environments, which can feel overwhelming.
How we work through stressful situations and trauma demonstrate our resilience and discernment. The workshop will help leaders (clergy and lay) identify internal and external factors of stress, learn about compassion fatigue and trauma, and receive practical tools and coping skills to navigate this continued difficult time.
This workshop will be led by Susan Stewart, MDiv, LMFT, a licensed marriage and family therapist. CEUs are available from Waterworks Ministries for this workshop.
A limited number of single ($89) and double rooms are available at Mt. Asbury on April 19 (the night before the workshop). Please indicate in the registration form if you’d like to reserve a room. A separate email will be sent with additional details to confirm your room accommodation.
this ticket is for the stress management and trauma leadership workshop on April 20, 2023 at Mt. Asbury Camp and Retreat Center and is non-refundable.
